Bookings for spaces that hold people, not seats.
Repose sells and schedules timed access to a sauna, ice bath, float tank or recovery room, through the Shopify store you already run. Visits, packs, memberships and gift cards in one checkout, and a desk view of the day for your staff.
Repose is in review for the Shopify App Store. Until it is listed, we install it with you.
How it works
Three parts, and Shopify does the money.
Sell it in Shopify
A visit, a ten-pack, a weekly membership, a gift card: each is an ordinary Shopify product with a few extra fields that Repose adds and explains. Memberships run on Shopify's own subscription plans. There is no second payment processor and no second customer list.
Customers book themselves
The Session booking block sits on your theme. A customer picks a day, sees the real open times, ticks your waiver once, and takes a time with one tap. Someone new can hold a time first and pay for it in the same visit.
Run the desk
Today's shape at a glance: every start time, how many places are free, who is booked in. Book a regular by name with their own credits, take a walk-in or a group under a typed name, and see who holds what.
What makes it different
Most booking apps were built for classes or appointments. A recovery venue is neither.
- Occupancy, not seats
- A sauna does not have a 10:00 class. It has a room that fits eight people, and someone who walked in at 9:45 is still in it. Repose counts the people in the space at every minute, buffers included, so staggered starts and overlapping sessions work the way the room does.
- One checkout
- Sessions, packs, memberships and gift cards are all Shopify products, paid through your Shopify checkout at your Shopify rates. Refunds flow back through the same orders, and credits are clawed back only as far as the customer still holds them.
- Memberships on native plans
- A membership is a product with a subscription plan on it. Repose reads each paid order, extends the member's access by the length you set, and lets members book without spending a credit. It never creates, edits or cancels a plan, and it tells members only what it actually knows about their renewal.
- Limited-run offers
- Cap an intro price at the first fifty customers and it closes itself at fifty. Set a standard offer to go on sale the moment the intro sells out. Checkout refuses a repeat purchase of a once-per-person offer before anyone pays for it twice.
- Rooms and sites
- Several bookable things per location, each with its own length, buffer and places, sharing the venue's ceiling or not. Several locations per store, each in its own timezone with its own hours and closed days.
- Honest by design
- The admin says what it knows and no more. A membership whose renewal has not arrived says so rather than promising one. A cancellation tells you plainly that nobody has been emailed. A booking we could not charge for is charged later, and the counter shows you.
Built for recovery venues
Capacity-limited, timed access to a space, with nobody at the front of the room.
A good fit
- Saunas and bathhouses
- Ice baths and cold plunge
- Float tanks
- Cryotherapy and compression rooms
- Contrast therapy studios with several rooms
- Multi-site operators who want one store
Not what it is for
- Instructor-led classes with rosters
- Salon or clinic appointments with a named practitioner
- Venues that need a member mobile app or a check-in kiosk today
- Marketing automation such as win-back email or SMS
Those are on the roadmap after v1, or better served by another app.
Free to start, then pay for what you use
Your first 100 customer bookings every 30 days are free. After that, USD 0.09 per booking with a cap you set, or a flat USD 129 a month for unlimited bookings.
Talk to the person who built it
Repose is made by a small studio in Melbourne and is being rolled out with a handful of venues before it is listed. If yours might be one, say hello.
